Shares have existed for hundreds of years, yet there is still some mystery to «stock buying». At stack, e-learning will combine fund and stock trading on top of a lively "community" (app) where members can follow each other and be notified when their friends have made an investment, demystifying the process by doing it together and with knowledge - with lots of visual content. You could call it an “Instagram for investment”.
Beta testing of the app and e-learning features is done, and we have reached thousands of people. E-learning is a way of attracting consumers to the app, but not intended to be a major source of income. The greatest income will come from fund- and stock trading in the app. Initially, Stack will operate as an affiliated agent, but the company has also submitted a license application to Finanstilsynet to become a distributor of securities.
Status
The fall of 2021, Stack received the entrepreneur award, the learning part of the app was launched and Stack has almost 3000 users in the app waiting for the investment part of the app to be launched. In addition, Stack has already received a number of paying members.
A total of 18 people are working on the project, including consultants and suppliers. Now it's about getting more people on board internally so that the app works and is stable when the investment part of the platform launched, and even more customers are downloading the app.
The next round of fundraising is also an important focus, which is mainly done to scale the product.
The role of CTO
As the CTO you will be central in shaping Stack´s future. In the initial phase you will be responsible for taking over the extensive backend we have made, and potentially remaking the app frontend in a more scalable framework through outsourced capacity or a new hire together with yourself. As we move forward you will probably be busy working with the overall technology strategy, IT architecture, new product features, system integration and building a technical department. This is the opportunity to come in early and play a central role in an up-and-coming company.
Furthermore, the job involves hands-on coding, as well as taking the strategic view of how to build the architecture and systems. Ultimately, you will be responsible for enabling a successful global commercialization technically. Your key responsibilities will be:
• Craft the overall technology strategy for the company
• Attract, establish and lead teams of developers
• Teambuilding
• Problem solving
• Write comprehensible code that can be expanded and improved as the company and team grows
• Design and develop an IT architecture and technical solutions
• Establish a secure IT infrastructure
• Work with third-party solutions via APIs

Who are we looking for?
You have a minimum of 8 years of experience as a developer, specifically with C#, Azure, SQL DB and Rest API. You get to choose the front-end framework we will take our concept further with, so whether you are an IOS Native or Flutter fan is not of importance.
Your role will be to lead and build teams on backend, front-end and design, so being motivated to build teams is very important. As a start you have Mathilde, our senior web developer, as well as a number of hired consultants we are already working with.
Officially we are an Oslo based company, but practically we all work remotely. For us it doesn’t matter if you want to work from Oslo, Stockholm, Larvik or Mo I Rana, or from your sailboat and rather meet occasionally. We talk on Slack and Meet often enough anyway.
We are building an investment platform, so it is a plus if you are interested in stocks, funds, cryptocurrencies, and other investments but it is also perfectly OK if you just want to learn!
